Repurposing Content

If you've ever struggled with creating content and trying to keep up with a production schedule you just can't seem to meet, I wanna share a little story with you.

A few years ago, I was constantly stressing  out trying to come up with fresh, new, content every single day to post on my social platforms. I had thought that it was essential to always come up with new topics and to never ever repeat content.


Seems to make sense, right?


But did I really need to do all that every single time.....just to keep my audience engaged and interested? And as I learned the hard way.....nope. I didn't.


You don’t have to either, and here’s your lesson for the day:


Take content that you made for one purpose and transform it for another!


Confused? I understand: it’s a total misconception that successful content should always be trendy and new. But! Repurposed content can be just as (if not more) successful when done the right way. 

Here's a few examples so you know what I mean.


Did you have an insightful interview about what you do? Transcribe it into a value post over on Facebook.  


Do you have some old but pretty darn good blog posts.....just collecting dust within your archives? Transform it into a reel or video you can  post on Instagram. 


Repurposing in this way will make content creation much easier, especially if you’re someone who has trouble coming up with ideas! 


It’ll save you time, broaden your content’s audience reach, and increase your online presence. Just remember: When you repurpose, you are not duplicating content. 


You’re innovating it.
